WOW!!!
Bill just sent me a pic of my new Custom Brackenbury Quest that is on the way to me, long wait was well worth it. Bill is a master bowyer and I love his bows. I now have three, two Quests and a Non Typical longbow which I traded for.

Cannot wait to shoot it.

NOT !!!!!
Really pretty, Danny!!

Ray, my brother, "From my cold dead hands"LOL.
I have found that the Brack Quest is "The" bow for me, hence I sold most all of my other bows. I do have a Cari-bow Silver Fox longbow and a Robertson Fatal Styk X, but that is it besides the two Quests and the NonTypical.
Ciao Felix, mi amico. Yes I LOVE Zebrawood, especially the "Cathedrial Grain" that Bill uses.

That's a looker for sure Chief.......
-
Thanks Mark,
I see you are in Texas now. How ya liking it?

Best of luck with her Chief....

Just beautiful,sweet looking bow!
-
I was at Bill's house a couple weeks ago and saw your bow as he was just about to finish it up. I thought it was beautiful even before finished! I have his Peerless recurve, and really love it.
-
that bow is beautiful.
-
Has Bill started taking orders again?
-
It will look even better with some mud and blood on it...... nice bow! I love my Quest too.
-
Very nice!
-
Burnsie
Bill is taking orders I believe, but the wait time is over 24 months. You would have to call him to find out for sure.

Striking bow. I've always liked the way the Quest looks and I don't even like recurves.
-
Beautiful bow Danny!
-
That is pure eye candy, GREAT looking bow!
-
That is a beautiful bow Danny! I bet it will shoot as good as it looks!
-
Nice looking bow. Bill builds a great bow. Thinking about ordering another myself... thats quite a wait though.

Stunning Brack Danny!!!
-
Two years, that would definitely give me time to pay it off.
-
Very nice Danny! The "Quest" is on my list to own/shoot. Sure hear and read good things about the Brack bows, and they rarely come up for sale. That says a lot about them.
-
Very pretty bow. I bet that Wenge looks awesome up close.
Danny, Have you ever shot his Deflexed riser Quest? Also I know you shot his Peerless model; why didn't you go with that model? You can PM your answer to me if you want.
I have the same Zebra limb veneer on my Quest....I love it. Bill has one of the best grips out there.
-
Flat out gorgous!!
-
Joe,
Sent you a PM.
-
Sorry about that meant gorgeous!!!
-
Ray, if you give me the bigger steak I'll let you shoot my new Quest. See you in two weeks. :)
Dan, beautiful bow!
-
oh man... that has to be one of the best looking bows ive ever seen. Im not a 'curve guy but that one is a keeper for sure.
-
Beauty of a bow Danny! I may have to knock Ray off to get to the top of the list for this one. I figured you were up to something since I haven't seen a new bow in your arsenal in ,say, a week!
-
Danny,
That is a beautiful bow made using Bill's favorite wood -- zebrawood. The figure in the riser and the cathedral cut grain in the limb veneers are outstanding. It looks like zebrawood is your favorite too. That wenge is an especially nice looking piece of wood and is perfect with the zebrawood. I have 7 Quests, 2 Non-Typicals, and a Peerless, all of which Bill Howland designed and built, and another 8 of Jim Brackenbury's original designs. Bill Howland is the most meticulous bowyer I know, and the bows he designed and built shoot as well as or better than any other bow I have ever shot. Quiet, smooth, accurate -- it just doesn't get any better. There are other bows I own that I prefer for some purposes, but for shooting excellence and being the closest to construction perfection, Bill's bows take the prize. I didn't think a bow, even a Brackenbury, could get any better than the Quest and Non-Typical, but the Peerless lives up to its name in my books. I know you like Quests better, and I can understand why for some folks they would be. What's not to love about them? That's why I have 7. You got one of the best looking Quests I have seen, and I'm sure it shoots as good as it looks. Congratulations on finally getting it after a VERY long wait. Getting a bow from Bill these days is like winning the lottery. My Peerless took two and a half years from the time I ordered it until the time it was delivered. But it was worth waiting for.
We have to get together after missing each other repeatedly over the last year. And Donald needs to be there too!
Take care,
Allan
-
Allan,
You are correct, we do need to get together.
I will be in Texas 1-30 Nov so maybe we can hook up. I have three hunts booked, but have a week or so clear in the middle of the month,14-20 so maybe we can get something together, not sure of Don's work scedule but hopefully we can come up to OK or something.

Danny,it look the regular riser or is it deflexed?
-
Regular riser Felix.
-
Did you ever tryed a reflex and why did you choose a regular?
-
Yes I tried a deflexed riser but prefer the regular.
-
Thanks,Danny.
-
Good looking bow, simple and elegant.
-
Hey Danny that is a real sweet looking Bow all we need is some kill pics with it. :clapper: :clapper:
-
Danny,
I will try to be available when you are around these parts next fall. It would be great to see you and Donald. Three hunts! That sounds great.
I have Quests with both the deflexed and the regular risers. I think the regular riser produces a little faster arrow speed, but the deflexed riser tends to be a little more forgiving. I need forgiveness in every area of my life, but I can't say I have much of a preference between the two riser configurations. Most of my Quests have the regular riser.
