I was looking for some info on a 72" Yeomon Long Bow. I did not find anything on the 72" bow when I searched all formums. I did see some of the shorter Yeomans. Anybody got one of these and can you get the year it was made from the serial #? I have an opportunity to buy this bow.

A Frederick "Yeoman" is a forward handle fairly highly reflexed bow. I can't imagine one of them being 72 inches long. I'd sure be interested in seeing the unstrung profile of it for sure. They were typically short i.e. 56" to 60".

Are you sure its 72 inches and the Yoeman model?
It was sorta a shrew like design bow but had a more mildly reflexed limb compared to a Shrew/griffin or more recently introduced forward style longbows.
Even his more traditioonal longbow did not come in 72 inch lengths.Maybe this is an experimental model you are looking at or a one of kind bow and length possibly.
I had 2 Yoemans and quite a few of the mild R and D longbows that were offered in 60 to 68 I believe. They were called the Squire,Baron and Regeant depending on how fancy they were and built on the same form.

This one is straight as a spear when unstrung and measure a full 72". Looks like a javalin in the Olympics. On the limbs it has "Legendary Longbows" "The Yeoman" 46#@28 SN#2992XX

Legendary Longbows is not a Fredrick.
