-
Scott: Sounds good. Hopefully the Board meeting won't go too long. Jim
-
I should be there.
-
I am sorry to miss it this time.
-
how bout we just have it after the board meeting, you guys are pretty efficient ,
maybe I'll just get a big table and put a sign on it, thats about as official as its going to be
Heres the rules:
1.no name tags..
2.no politics...
sorry you wont be here felix
-
Does "no politics" mean ya can't bitch about the division of wildlife?
-
Scott,you have a PM.
-
Ha good one vince...depends on who's there
ya know were going to talk about you if your not present
Bigriver hop on Bigbird and come join us, those Kstones will be washed away with generous amounts of Rocky Mountain Spring Water, if you cant make it just send me your visa #

Where is CTAS at this year? I might try to go.
-
Scott,
Let me know what time your thinking, we could just head down a little earlier than we had planned for the Banquet.
-
Ferret, I pm'd you some info.
-
pat
cmon down for lunch, I am going early to the business meeting
lots going on all day, its worth it to watch Jake work up a sweat turning a log into a bow
-
I'll have to leave pretty early from down here, but I might just make it. Is it going to be in the hotel restaurant? About noon?
Mike
-
Scott,
Sent you a PM
-
mike
yes it will be at the hotel, after the business meeting,
you do have to know the secret handshake to get in though $$
-
Secret handshake....??........ :dunno:
-
I don't have any money or a Visa card.
I was just going to bring a sack lunch from home and drink ice water. Maybe I can learn the handshake for next year :help: .
Mike
-
yer in mikey
good hunters are in
secret handshake is just to keep the lowlifes out
"you point a magnum and they quiver"... this is a quote...although wish I had said it....
-
This is always the same evening as the high school state wrestling finals. Totally bums me out! I wish I could go but I'll be watching some rasslin instead.
-
Oh no Tommy. I was counting on you to teach me "the handshake" this weekend. Maybe your dad can help me out!?!?

OK so the plan is set ...here it goes ...after the bidness meetin, there will be a sign...on a table... that says ...trad gang lunch... repeat after me... trad gang lunch...sit down...shut up.. tip the wench that serves us... got it??
maybe the worlds most interesting bowhunter and his sweet little honey will be there, actually her name is michelle, and a really nice gal, just poor taste in husbands;) ;) ;) hope so.. they were a lot of fun last year.
It will be the who's who of bowhunting, Gary Renfro will be there (if he can pause being Gary for a few minutes) and his lovely bride Connie,
most of the CTAS board will be there, remember RULE #2 NO POLITICS
and a few drifters will show up , ( and yes the 7 year wait is up soon)
no warrants, restraining orders, or tax issues will be presented for personal or political gain,
see rule # 2
which brings us back to Rule # 1...
no friken name tags...crikes if you dont know who you are by now ...please go to bass pro shops I think they can help you,
I always got a kick out of name tags, I would write George W Bush on mine, it brought a lot of strange looks...WTF?? cant take a joke?
name tags are a poor excuse for common courtesy
whats wrong with this?
"Hi I am Joe Scmuck from Colorado, glad to meet you"
instead you go around staring at each others chest going...I knew that was Joe Scmuck...
so there you have it, CTAS trad gang lunch rules and regs for 2011, hope to see you there!!!!
-
Yup was fine weekend, will post a couple of pics soon as I find my camera and a few other things
If you have never heard Doc Don speak you should one of the best, had a great time, thanks CTAS
-
I had a great time.
The highlight of the banquet for me was when I got to meet George W. Bush. I didn't know he was a bowhunter. He looked a little different than he did on TV but name tags don't lie.
I did really enjoy listening to Don Thomas and my son received his first timer award. Thanks to all who worked hard to make it a great banquet.

-
Where is CTAS bieng held this year. I should be able to make it. Ken
-
Sorry to have missed it this year too. Hope Fugi passed along my apologies for not being there. Guess things work out - ended up getting called to Omaha the Thursday prior to the banquet for my mother in law being hospitalized. She passed away this last Tuesday. So, all in all it was a good thing I was back here. Craig
