I am not a photographer, I just couldn't get the pics to show the true beauty of this bow, but here it is !
The woods are birds eye maple, spalted maple and Osage,

HEY Dan! It was sure nice to chat with you and Kai yesterday. The pics look good and I can't wait for your feed back on shooting it in.
The bow is indeed another "Pure Michigan" bow for a fellow Michiganian. Here is the skinny:
60" 50#@28"
Figured Birdseye Maple back, light hickory stain,to pop the eyes out.
Spalted Hard Maple belly,
Osage and Black Walnut core,
Osage and Figured Birdseye Maple I-Beam riser,Full custom contour grip with Goat skin leather wrap. 10 strand D-97 string by CTT(sorry Josh, thought I had one in stock). Thank you very much Dan. Have fun and send me some field Pictures.

Beautiful bow you have there, and I too can attest to Chuck's fine workmanship.
I bought a RER LXR, which has an awesome grip, but I wear the green ARMY wool gloves that need some kind of frictiion to keep from slipping, and the clear finish just wasn't cutting it. So I got ahold of Chuck and he took the riser home with him at The Kzoo show, and a couple days later I received the perfect addition to my riser. He had put on a leather grip for me, and all I told him is that I didn'y want white or black leather, but somewhere in the middle color. When I opened the box, I revealed a color scheme of leather that was the same color as the 2 things in my life that bring me the most comfort...My leather recliner and Red Wing boots, so how could I go wrong.
I love the job, the stitching is fantastic, and it now is also on my list of most comfortable things in my life.
Chuck didn't make the bow I bought, he made the bow I bought...BETTER.
I have come to realize in life there are things that you just shouldn't attempt, and installing a leather grip, to me, is on that list. I'm glad I had Chuck do this for me.

Looks like a great shooter. Nice Chuck.
Do you build pure Buckeye bows? Now that would mean something south of the border. I guess we wouldnt want the wood sent to michigan to be built tho. Might cause it to twist and crack! :scared:
You'd have to travel
Nice Job

Chuck makes a good bow and is a good person to boot. I really like that Michigan bow and woods he used. Hope to own one of them one day.
-
Thanks for the kind words everyone ! Thanks for clarifying the bow materials Chuck. I also need to get more Michigan made strings from Oliverstacy (Josh)

Get that String shot in Dan and then tell Josh what length it is and he will set you up just right. It should be about 57.5"
Hey Doug, Can't we all just get along? :dunno:

Chuck it's DYED :dunno: Maybe that buckeye would make a good bow wood, isn't a buckeye some kind of hairless nut? Just sayin'. Chuck you have to get rid of that osage, that does seem too much OHIOAN for me. How about sassafras or black locust?
-
Maybe some ohio grid-IronWood.
Or Mich YELLOW pine.
That's Buck-Eye to you Owlbait. :D
-
I should say, Mr. Buck-Eye, sir! I actaully have a couple acquaintances from Ohio, and they both made/make fine bows. No one has stepped up and produced a "Pure Ohio" model though. :bigsmyl: Chuck makes and produces fine products and services. I'm always looking to see what the present and future might bring from TwoTracks!
-
Grid-Ironwood. I like that,good one Doug.
Now you two play nice and tell Dan how sweet his bow is.
CTT

yes sir...nice bow Dan, I mean it too!!! Chuck finds some awesome woods to purty up a stick, doesn't he?
-
Love it! VERY nice!

Owl bait
I hear ya, I'm not even pure ohio. Just lived here awhile. More of a pure Mutt.
Nice Bow Dan!
