Title: New Dryad selfbow
Post by: gap_shooter on June 23, 2007, 02:46:00 PM
Yesterday I recieved my new dryad kiowa hunter.  Upon opening the package The striking beauty of the bow was amazing!  The bow is 68" long and 66#@30.  I couldn't wait to shoot the bow so I took half a day of work to try it out.  I strung the bow and on first pull I noticed it had great early string wieght and NO stack at my draw.  I grabbed an assortment of arrows and went to my range.  I have shot other self bows of my own make as well others, so I thought I had a pretty good idea of the cast I would get.  First shot went well over the back of the target.  I just figured that I must have thrown my bow arm so I shot again with the same results.  I was amazed at how good the cast was with this bow, I adjusted my aim and started drilling with the bow.  I am not trying to start an argument on the merits of my shooting style, right or wrong I gap-shoot.  My point on with this bow is 37yards with 600grain arrows.  That is amazing for a self bow.  The preformance of this bow is outstanding but what really makes it great is the craftmanship that went into this bow. This is without a dought the prettiest bow I have ever owned.  Mike absoloutly makes top shelf bows! His customer service is also top rate.
for a great bow don't hesitate to choose Dryad.
Thanks for the great bow Mike

I own several Dryad bows including one bow blank I finished myself. I will quickly agree with you on all points. They all shoot great look great and Mike and Jason are great to work with and do exceptional work. You did good when you  chose one of Mikes bow. Yours looks great and I am sure it shoots just as you have stated. Have fun shooting and good luck.
