What do Y'all recommend for bringing the Life back to My Old Felt Fedora?? :goldtooth:

This un made me smile. I bought an old crusher felt fedora from original owner of Noggin Tops cause it compressed the narrower band when I drew my bow w/out interference.
Your question made me smile, cause, well... :) I used to spray it down a good bit with the varied scent elimnator sprays... it was a basic brownish fedora...but what Dave at NT told me was that many of the scent eliminator sprays contain peroxide.. Whooie...you should see that hat! It looks every shade of greenish, whitish, blueish disgustion you can imagine! Kinda looks like something left to mold and mildew in a corner of a wet basement! :banghead:
I got to the point where I'd not wear it lest folks thought I had terminal cooties!
I'll be watchin to see if there is a color returner for wool felt! :)

Every felt hat I have had, has faded and discolored with time in the sun with no help from chemicals. It usually takes a year or two before the loss of shape and poor coloration prompts me to purchase a new one. The nice new brown color always fades to an ugly green. I have never tried to re-dye them because the shape is looking pretty sad anyway.

Well.... I dont think I will use anything containing Peroxide!! Might just add some Light to the Gray I already have!! :banghead: :goldtooth:

I look at it this way, NOBODY will end up stealing my HAT!
Wear it in style, Shakes and let others wonder!
