I have to do a little bragg'n for my big brother. The big buck he shot last season marked the end of a 3 year chase for the ol' brute involving my brothers and I. It's full of pictures, encounters and even a 25 yard stand off with myself 2 years ago. Pretty cool to see him in the July issue of North American Whitetail. Fitting end for the big guy to go down at the hand of an experienced woodsman holding a bear recurve. Way to go brother!

WOW!!!!! what a deer of a lifetime!! congrats to you and ur brother.

Is your brother a Navy SEAL? That looks like a buck most marines would run from and wet themselves over :bigsmyl: :deadhorse:
-
Hey! This site is built on the practice of respecting one another!
Don't be dissin' folks for the branch of the service that they join up to! Now you got those jarheads all in a twitter! :biglaugh:
-
congratulations!

That is a hell of a whitetail. Did you guys have that thing scored? I'm just curious. What a monster.

Nevermind. I see in the caption that it was 213 5/8. WOW!
It also says that this is an Illinois buck. That question was raised before.
-
Wow...what a brute of a buck!!!! Congrats!!
-
Yes ma'am! I will retract (but not edit) my prior statement about my brothers in the marines.
But, that is a huge buck isn't it?
-
Not to worry, Killdeer, no offense taken. At least, THIS retired jarhead almost certainly WOULD pee his pants if he saw THAT big, old buck heading his way....
My congratulations!!!
-
Man, between you two that's a couple of wall hangers in the past couple of years. You guys need a huntin buddy? :bigsmyl:
-
I just read the article yesterday. It was a great story.
I was curious what poundage was the bear bow he using? The article didn't say.
Thanks.
-
Thats awesome ! Congrats !
-
He was using a new super kodiak It's 45@28 but he draws 32'' so 50 something pounds. The body was as impresive as the antlers on him, the taxidermist said he's using the biggest form he's ever used on a deer. We guess him to be around 7 years old but haven't had a pro check out his jaw yet to give us an age yet. Something special about a buck of any size that lives to be that mature.
-
Great Buck of a lifetime, awesome. Super story, congrats to your brother.

I like that field photo a lot. That is such a brute of a deer. It helps that I have seen you brother walking around at Kzoo and knowing he is almost 7 feet tall! I have always wondered if you guys need to splice arrows together to get them long enough! I will have to pick that one up at the newsstand.
