Title: Insert for Easton XX75 to put traditional points on it?
Post by: finq on August 28, 2011, 12:12:00 PM
Hi.

Is there some kind of insert for aluminium or carbon arrows where you can glue on traditional points?
A friend of mine picked up these really cool handmade battle points, similar to these ones.

but they are for 11/32 wood shafts.

Is there a way to get them on aluminium arrows?
We only found the other way round. To put inserts on a wooden shaft...

These are the arrows we both shoot, but for better looks me might go for the Goldtip with wood-look.

fing,  check out 3 Rivers or Lancaster.  They have screw in adapters for glue on points.  They are available in both aluminum and steel for different weights in the finished point.  They call them "broadhead adaptors"

Without knowing what the taper is on the broadheads you have, a standard broadhead adapter would be the first thing I would try.  Might have to modify it some.  Any archery supplier should have them.
