Hi all,
A few years ago I had a chat via email of a fella who made bows called Stealth Longbows. They were a D/R hybrid and by the pics he sent me, a looker of a bow!
I am away at work currently, but upon my return I shall post up some pics to see if anyone has any info on these bows, as I am wanting to make contact with the bowyer again...
Cheers,
ak.

yep, a 'stealth' longbow is a whippy, aggressive hybrid r/d that braces to a "D" shape, like the 21st century Edge that was stupidly allowed in ifaa competitions.
oh wait, you mean the stealth longbow *brand*. nope, never heard of 'em. sorry.

If I 'm not mistaken, and I could be..they were made in Missouri and I don't think they are being made anymore. However I do know someone who would know for sure and when he get's back into town I could find out for sure..

The bowyers name is Mike Sullivan and he lives in SE Missouri. I don't have a contact number and I don't think he advertises much. You might contact Will Scarlet on stickbow, he had a recurve made by him he wanted to trade me. I think he lives near Mike. Hope this helps.

Wow...haven't heard about these bows in nearly 10 years. But what I did hear was great things...however, I too heard he quit making them.
I remember seeing pics of them on the internet though. Seems there was something interesting about the lines...but I can't be for sure...been a LONG time ago.
I'd love to see some more pics...so, if anyone has some please post them here and email me you did so...I'm libel to forget about this thread with all I got going on.
Thanks.
(email notification added :) )

I don't know much about them except that I have one. It is a bow I bought for my son to shoot and he really likes it. This year however he took and liking to my Horne and has it now.
The Stealth I have is 52# and 61". It is an agressive reflex/deflex, almost identical shape as my Thunderstick.
When I get my camera back, I will try to post pics.

Thats the chap... Mike Sullivan.
He sent me through some pics a few years back now and i only found 'em last night after storing them on my laptop. Sweet looking longbow that is for sure!
I will post up some pics in a few days when i get back into town.
Cheers.

To my non-bowyer eye, those really do resemble the lines of the Jim Reynolds Thunderstick longbows (sponsor here).
If you can't contact Mike, or he is not building bows any more, you might talk with Jim about a MOAB...

Al you are getting old mate when a few years turns into 6 ...they look like a nice bow Thanks Shane
