Well i have been shooting with an allen tab that i trimmed and really am shooting well with it instead of my glove. Went to get a new one and they have changed the material used and its worthless. So i need suggestions for a new one. I like to be able to feel the string and don,t like the finger seperator. Thanks for the sugestions.

Fred Eichler tab from 3 rivers is nice

I,ve been eyeballing that one it looks pretty good to me.

I like the Saunders Pak Tab. I can be used with or without the finger separator.

Another vote for the Eichler tab from 3Rivers. I've tried many tabs and find that I like the Eichler the best. I've shot this tab for several months and find it to be very durable, easy to use, and gives me a good feel of the string.

I have used the Saunders mono tab for over 15 years. It is a slick brown plastic that is indestructible. Waterproof so it is great for bow fishing or bad weather. Best of all very cheap to purchase.

Another vote for the Eichler Tab. I love the rubber back.

I have been cutting my own out of calf hair for the last several years. These work best for me. Very cheap, and thin so you get a really good feel of the string. It is a little harder on your fingers but they toughen up after a while.

I have used the Widow tabs for years and like them a lot.

The Bateman tab meets your requirements for workmanship, materials, and feel for the string. You need to specify that you want the cordovan tab with the leather backing (not rubber)to get the best string feel. These tab break in quickly and work well.

My favorite tab is the S.A.M. (Super Archery Mitt)

Another for the Saunders plastic tab. I don't use the layers or finger separator that comes with those, just the bare plastic tab and trim to fit my fingers. (Lasts until you lose it or the dog eats it!)

Bateman Cordovan for me. I also like the Eichler tab but not enough protection for me. I guess I have tender fingers or shoot too much.

Black Widow tab for me.

Bateman Cordovan with finger separator. I also use two thin large hair bands looped together. (Like looping two rubber bands together). I place one loop around my wrist and the other loop around the tab band and fingers. Prevent the tab from slipping forward on the hand after many shots. Works great for me.

Bateman...they will build you a thicker leather(cordovan), if you want more protection. Your choice.

In order of preference:
1) Eichler. Wouldn't be surprised to learn that Bateman make them. I thought they would be a little thin for a 63# bow and 9-strand string but that is not the case. Easiest of the three to slip on and off.
2)Black Widow. Haven't used this much but found that it just about edged out the Bateman on the release front.
3)Bateman Cordovan with finger seperator and elastic finger loops. Don't quite care for the elastic.
Keep in mind that I am relatively new to the sport and my release in all probablity is not as good as it should be.

I've been using the Saunders Pak Tab since at least the early 90's. I bought two back-ups but I still use my original. I have used others like the Bateman and even gloves but I always go back to the Saunders.

I just sent a check in the mail for a Toelke tab. Haven't heard anything but good stuff about them. You can find the info if you do a search in PowWow or go to the Sponsor's Classifieds and do a search for "better release". Good luck!

I love the Bateman Cordovan, but the Eichler looks so good that I am going to order it.

In the classifieds, in the Quivers and Leather Goods section, Little John is selling some cordovan leather tabs at a good price. I just bought two from him to try.
