Has anyone tried shooting hammerhead lites out of a 55lb. bow? How did they do? Or should I go with regular hammer heads? I draw right around 28 inches...and the bow is right around 55lbs. at my draw length.

I think it will depend on how long you like or need them and how much weight you like in front. I have a Bear A mag that is 52#s and they fly good they are cut to 28.75 and 180 grains up front with std insert.

I'm shooting a 52@28 Black Widow PSA and I draw 28 1/2. The HH lites shoot great with 125 grain heads but are underspined with 175 grain heads. My arrows are cut to 30". I had to buy the AD trads and leave them full length to shoot the 175 grain heads. Hope this helps. Maybe like huntin sparty I will try cutting to 28.75 but I can't imagine 1/4" will make that much difference in spine for me.

I’m using HH lites on all my bows from #40-#55. I draw to 28" as well and I was shooting from a #53 BW PAX with 165 up front with zero issues. I recently got my old #55 RER back and shot the same arrows, but with 125gr tips and I was surprised to find out that they shoot VERY well. At first I was concerned due to it being on the threshold of spine according to 3R's chart, but I figured dropping the tip weight down to 125gr, would help stiffen them up. I will be sticking with these arrows for a long time. My shafts are cut to 30" BOP.
