Today was the FIRST day in modern hunting history that a person could legally hunt in Carroll County Maryland on Sunday!!
So to inaugurate this very significant moment, I took my Black Widow out for yet another sit. My bow was so excited it almost beat me out the door... :D .
What a beautiful morning! What a great feeling!

While my outing was uneventful as far as game goes, it was really a special time for me. It is one of the most significant hunts I have enjoyed in a while.
I was part of a lot of folks who worked hard to get Sunday hunting passed in my county, and today we finally were able to enjoy the fruits of our labor. First of 5 bow Sundays allowed this season.

Way to go!
Virginia has that law, still. Imagine how I felt last year, with the mail volume dropping, that my route had gotten so light that I would have to work six days a week. The day off, of course, is Sunday.
It has since gone back up so that I have every other Saturday off. I resent that law, however.
The critters probably enjoy that day of rest. Why not Thursdays? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Nice. Hopefully next year here in PA we'll also have Sunday hunting.

Never have understood the ban on Sunday hunting and I am a devout Christian (Anglican deacon in training in fact).
Glad you enjoyed your hunt.
