Title: OldSkool gets a buck!

I told Rob I would post these pictures of the buck he shot this morning.  He will tell the details, but I wanted to get the pics up for him.

What can I say. He wasn't the one I was hunting but the wife told me the freezer was empty so stop messing around and put one in the freezer THEN I can hold out for the big boy. Can't make her understand we are only allowed 1 buck. Back in a minute to tell the story.

OK. I past up this buck 6 or 7 time all ready this year holding out for One of the big boys that I had at 15 yards the first 3 week ends of the season.My fault that I didn't get one of these guys. I blew my opportunity. This guy came under my stand last Sunday and I got a real good look at him at 3 feet from my stand and let him walk. I thought about him all week how his small head gear didn't match his body size. Then I remembered seeing him last year. head gear didn't look write for his body size. I figured if I get another shot I'll thin him out of the herd.

I got in my stand an hour before daylight. I sat there till 1030 and sent a text to charlie asking him if he had seen any thing. At this point I haven't even seen a squirrel. Ten minutes latter I had squirrels all around me.at 1045 I watched him feed down the trail stopping in the middle of my shooting lane.
12 yard shot,complete pass through. He went about 40 yards and fell in sight. Whole thing took less than 30 seconds.
I used my PTF Black Widow 57@29
CX Heritage with 100 grain brass insert,145 Magnus broad head.
