Title: Quick Climb
Post by: mickeys4 on December 22, 2011, 04:56:00 PM
Has anyone ever used this product?I'm not familiar with the types of falls that occur while climbing with a climber. It looks to me that with the size of the loop in the safety tether you might fall rather far before it cinches tight. It looks like a great product yet I have a little doubt eyeballing their setup.Someone correct me if I'm wrong as I'm thinking of getting a climber next season.

1. It's better than no harness climbing.
2. It's not better that their comparison example.
3. You are correct: If you fell b/f you got up 9 feet you'd have broken legs minimum
4. Why risk 60-90 seconds speed climbing a tree, and not be 100% safe doing it slower?

I've got to agree with coilspring,it's not worth the risk for a few seconds.

Check out this product for easier climbing, Q-Safe.With the before mentioned product I can envision more than one unsafe scenario.I've been researching climbing stands and accessories. This looks promising in that it will catch you immediately and you spend less time with your hands off the climber.
