Title: Selway "Lil Magnum"- FF compatible?
Post by: slowbowjoe on December 22, 2011, 06:18:00 PM
Recently got a used lil mag; really like the bow, but the silencers and string nocks are glued on, and I'd like to change them. The string is mighty skinny, but I don't know whether that guarantees the bow is Fast Flight compatible.
Any feedback is appreciated.

Back when I built the Kabekona for G&M Archery he was a dealer for them, everyone I shot had a fast flight type of string on it. You may want to ask Jim at Centaur Archery, he built them for Selway at the time. I am pretty sure they all had dymondwood or phenolic tips so you should be safe to shoot any modern string material.

Thanks Jason,

Thought it would be OK, but glad to have your input to affirm.

I am just going off memory, I would still contact Jim to be sure if it were my bow.

I have one, shot two deer with it this year, really like it.  What years were these bows made?

I emailed Jim Neaves, and got the confirmation: the Lil Mag's were all made to accept modern, no - stretch string materials.

Don't know when these bows were made, other than that they haven't been made for " a few years ".
