Title: A good opportunity
Post by: Recurve50 LBS on December 30, 2011, 10:16:00 AM
This afternoon I'll be going out squirrel hunting up on some state land close to home with my friend and her son. Neither of them shoot a traditional bow so I hope to make a good impression on them in hopes to turning them from the dark side. lol

May the force be with you.  Any day is a good day in the field with your bow.

Gave it a good try today. Saw no one else out in the woods. Saw no squirrels or deer either. Guess they all hit the residential neighborhoods.

Got home poured myself and adult drink, went out on the deck to enjoy it and saw several fat squirrels and a dozen deer!

Any way the 3 of us enjoyed the time together in the woods and are looking forward to our next hunting trip.

Stalking at this time of year is real hard, every step is very noisy in the woods now, and any horizontal movement can be seen from very far away, but it's still nice to get out and about.

Bad day hunting is better than a good day at work.

Don't worry about your impression.

Hit or miss, enjoy yourself and they'll get the picture.

Have fun, I love introducing trad to folks. It pretty much takes care of itself.
