I just finished up this bow rack as a birthday gift for my father in law. I made this one a little different due to the way he likes to hang his bows. I also inlaid a couple of broadheads, one of his and one of mine. Enjoy the pics and let me know what you think!

I like it! Your father-in-law will be very happy with it. I really like the way you used arrow shafts for the bow holders. Very nice!

This is completely awesome. I would really like to make some type of bow rack myself and this is the first I have seen like this. I hate to revisit posts if there already has been one but where can I find other pictures and ideas for bow racks that have been made? I would love to see additional ideas.

what kind of longbows are those two furthest to the left? A&H?
-
I can't see the rack for all those silvertips hanging in the way!
Very nice! The arrows sticking out of the tree kind of reminds me of my season!
-
Thanks guys for the kind comments. Those bows on the left are Centaurs! I kind of have a thing for silvertips recurve-shooter!

I just found a half-round, 8" diameter cedar post. My son used the other half for a fireplace mantle.
I like this "slab-rack"! I really like the idea of the fletched arrow backs for the hooks!

Nice racks, love slabs like that.
I want your one piece Schafer... :saywhat:

I made some modifications to the bow rack. He ordered another bow so I had to make it bigger to hold more bows!

EasyKeeper, if you are interested in that tip I sold it to a good friend of mine on here and could put you in touch with him if you would like!
Gandolf, this is actually an Oak slab!

RobHood, how do you place the arrow "pegs" in the wood.. how did you get them to stay? drill a hole and glue?? thanks in advance! by the way, those are sweeeeet racks
-
Nice Job
-
Very creative thinking. Love the uniqueness of your work!
-
I got the wood precut, yes I drill out the holes (not all the way through) and glue them in. I also (not sure if needed) predrill the back and put sunken screws for added support. I just don't want one of my originals silvertips falling off the wall!
