Title: new bear kodiak takedown clicking noise
Post by: hunterbob on January 09, 2012, 07:41:00 PM
I was just wondering what you all do when you get a clicking noise in your kodiak takedown. I am pretty sure it is coming from the leather piece on the latch on the upper limb. I put wax on it and it worked for like a day.I want a good fix that will work for awhile.one guy said to put teflon tape on it.another guy said use elmers rubber cement.Any other ideas out there?

Robert, try this.
Remove the locater screw in the clicking socket and string it up and shoot it. No worries about the screw, it's only there so we put the right limb in the right socket.
I think the clicking will go away.
keep us posted.

Well I got to thinking .When I took that screw out I noticed it was a little on the loose side .So I went ahead and put it back in and tightened it up and no more clicking that way either. Thanks for your help vintage-bear.and all along I thought it was the leather pad.I even cleaned all that wax off the pad and still no clicking .
