Sweeeet looking bow!!!!!!!!
-
Holy Smokes Bill! You have been busy....and it looks like it paid off, what a sweet looking bow. Love the grip, and that profile is curvy :bigsmyl:
-
WOW, Bill I love the looks of the Zipstick!!! You are sure making it hard on my bank account....LOL
Is the grip close to the SXT? Also what will the lengths that it will be offered in?
Jake is right, you are a busy man!
Keep up the good work!!!
-
Pretty bow!
Is that bloodwood?
-
Very nice!
-
Fantastic looking bow for sure. I hope to give it a go at Kzoo.
-
Nice! When you get a couple in stock, I'd like to come try one if possible.
-

-
Length? When it is all said and done the plan is to offer this bow from 54"-64".As of now I can build it from 54"-60"
Grip? This bow is glued up in such a way that I can put nearly any grip on it without making changes to the form. It takes a little longer to build this way but it allows a lot of flexibility to customize the grip area. The standard grip will be very much like our SXT.
It was a bit of a challenge to build a 1 piece longbow that still looks like a Zipper bow.I think we have managed to keep the Zipper look.
This one is bloodwood and curly maple 58"46#@28. I will have a 56" 58" and 60" at Kzoo for folks to shoot.
-
that's one sweet looking bow, bill.i think you have another winner.
-
That is a good looking bow!!
-
Bill, Looks like you've done it again. Great looking bow!!
-
Really nice looking bow!!!!
-
Bill,
That is sweeeeet. Great lines... Classy Zipper looks. What kind of core material?
Looking forward to shooting it at Kzoo.
God Bless, Pierre
-
Bill
Looks good except for one major mistake!!
The shelf is on the wrong side :banghead: :banghead:
-
The photo showing it fully strung makes it a great looking hybrid longbow.
-
Nice looking bow.
How much is the brance height ? it seems to be more on the 8" side on the pic isn't it?
-
Nice looking bow, I will have to take one for a test drive at Denton Hill.
-
Very nice addition to the Zipper line of bows !!!
Bill
-
I see dead critters!!!

Pierre,
I believe that one just has foam cores, and no carbon.
-
Excellent Bill! Interested also in the core material, brace height, and the string material. What kind of options will be available? Looking forward to shooting it on Saturday!
-
Mike, It looks like we are in trouble again! That is a very good looking bow! I can't wait to shoot it!
Benjy
-
Benjy, Bill should build us a pair of identical bows, then host a shoot off between the two of us, with the winner getting a free bow. I have a practice arrow you could use :bigsmyl: Really looking forward to shooting it and discussing it with Bill and Tracy next weekend. Does the foam core run all the way throught the middle of the riser or is that an accent stripe of something else?
-
Bill, 58", 46# @ 28" is perfect for me. If you want to send that bow to me I will run a bunch of arrows thru it and give you my opinion. I would even be willing to drive to your shop and pick it up! Man, that looks good.
-
Very nice looking bow..!
-
Sweet looking bow, I love the design.
-
Holy Smokers that thing has a ton of reflex. How is that workin out for you? I am guessing no after shot vibes either.
Are you coming to the Tradfest again this year to shoot?
If so bring one of them along I would love to fling some out of it.
-
very nice
-
sign me up
-
purdy
classic zipper look
sure to be a solid performer as well
i bet people will be lined up the shoot these bows @ k-zoo
-
Yea this one has foam cores with semi clear glass. No need to use the best stuff for a prototype.
Sorry Mark no lefties in the house. I know I'm gonna catch alot of guff over it but there just is not enough time to get some built before Kzoo.
This one seems to like that near 8" brace height.
All the typical Zipper options will be available on the Zipstick.
We are planning to be at the Tradfest shoot again this year. Looking forward to it!
-
I can't wait to give her a try at K-zoo!!
-
RM81 and fishone maybe you guys could get down to shoot at the same time.
The strange looking stripe in the center of the riser section is foam core material, veneer, and the belly glass. Running the glass through the riser makes the riser VERY stiff it also allows me to put nearly any grip that someone may want on the bow.
Izzy
Ohio deer season goes out on Feb. 5. and I just happen to have an unused tag in my pocket.I hope to get to put it on a nice fat slick head after Kzoo.
-
Bill does that mean the stripe on every bow will be gray? Isn't that the only color of the foam or can it be covered with a veneer?
-
Bill the bow is beautiful cant wait to shoot it at Kazoo..
-
If it has foam in the core it will be grey.
I guess I could put both pieces of core material on the back side of the main piece of riser wood. Instead of one on the back and one on the belly.
-
Thanks Bill. I know, causing problems and I haven't even seen it in person or shot it yet! :bigsmyl:
-
Mike, just like you to cause trouble! I can't believe that you still have that special arrow
Bill, I really do like that design! How does it compare to the Nitro?
-
Great looking bow Bill! You are going to get a bunch of interest in it. I can't wait to try it out!
-
-
My wife just sat down next to me while I was looking at the pics, looked at me, and her first words were, "don't even think about it."
It's like they can read our minds. I thought I was playing it pretty coy.
-
Wow, I LIKEY! Are you going Waterloo IA show this year? I wanna try one!
-
very nice looking bow...i need one! guess i better wait since we need a new laptop(when i saw the bow i slobbered on this one and ruined it!) :biglaugh:
-
Really digging that! :clapper: You can certainly see the Zipper lineage.
Wish I could shoot one. :(
-
Interesting.........Can't wait to hear the reviews....it looks neat!
-
The limbs and limb angle are the Nitro. The riser section is different.Because this one is a one piece and that limits my riser shape the Zipstick has about an inch higher brace height than the Nitro does.
She is on to you Jarrett! :biglaugh:
Sorry Robhood, but we will not be at the Waterloo show.
Will we see you at the Baltimore Bowmen shoot, Jim?
-
no baltimore for me...unless i can send my wife elsewhere! :help:i do like the bow...think i would look good carrying one,as soon as i get my model 700 built ill be saving my pennies for my first custom bow, think i will have to put you guys on the list of possible builders :jumper:
-
Bill,
I'd love to try out a 56". I was just down in Mt. Orab last weekend still chasing that big buck I missed back in November. Got to within about 50 yards on Saturday, but couldn't close the deal. Let me know when you're available and I'll head back downt that way. I've been looking around for a 56" longbow and would love to try one of yours. I'm hoping to get down there another weekend before deer season closes to give that buck one more try.
-
will that 58"er draw smooth to 29"?
-
Any idea what the price will be?

If you look at the Zipper website it says they start at $700.

Hey Matt, the best way to do it would be to contact me when you are going to be down this way and I'll try to be available.
The 58"er will handle a 29" draw length with no problem.
Jwilliam is right the price for the Zipstick with curved riser laminations similar to the prototype will be $700. That will be using our base woods of Curly Maple and Bubinga along with your choice of stripes.
I am also considering offering one with just one wood and no accents for $650.
-
Bill, have you been trying to stain any maple black yet?
-
Love the look of that bow AND the higher brace height!
Can't wait to shoot it next weekend!!!!
-
Yea Izzy, we have stained Curly Maple veneers black before. I just looked and my favorite stain company has a new black stain.
-

-
Another Black Beauty? I get first dibs!
-
Once more to the top! Can't wait until next weekend!
-
"I am also considering offering one with just one wood and no accents for $650."
My ears went up when I read that! :)
I am gonna have some very sore arms after next weekend. :D

Killdeer
Your sore arms will come from all the hugs and handshaking you will be doing.
A lot of members are looking forward to meeting you. :notworthy: :notworthy:
-
Uh oh.
Somehow, I will have to find a way to shoot all the bows in a short amount of time, AND be nice and social instead of the curmudgeonly loner that I am. :archer2:
-
Maybe you should go undercover, Kathy. You are going to need a disguise. How is your Arabian accent these days?
Bill
-
Nice Bill. Longbow with a recurve grip. Hmmmmm? My wheels are turning.
-
Kathy, I hope you have some time there. I went for Friday night last year for the first time ever... Definately needed all Day Saturday too.
I was sweating so badly I couldn't shoot many bows...
-
If the place is that warm, then a burqa should look pretty normal. I just have to remember to bring an arm guard.
Killdeer :)

Looked great in person. The grip fit me better than my Standard, Sxt, or ZSR riser. VERY smooth, quick, and quiet. Definitely a winner! :clapper:
