Title: Spray paint arrow question
Post by: Stone Knife on July 20, 2007, 08:43:00 PM
I have a can of minwax clear lacquer finish and a can of krylon gloss white. The white is not lacquer are they compatible? or better yet has anyone used this combo and had success.

James, I'm not 100% sure about the lacquer, but I do know that krylon and minwax polycrylic are 100% compatible. I would think the lacquer would work too, just do a test shaft. Let the krylon dry 24 hours for best results.

Should i lacquer the whole shaft first then do the cap?

No, do the cap first, let dry overnight at least and than spray. I would do a couple coats. Shawn

I would do a test run first. I spray painted some arrows and used a clear coat finish(don't remember what it was) and the paint just ran off the arrow.
