Title: Aluminum Arrow Question
Post by: TRT on February 09, 2012, 05:23:00 AM
I have been thinking about something since I read the recent thread on having arrows swagged.

Can you mount a broadhead on the swagged end of an Easton Legacy shaft and get the uni-bushing system for the insert end of the arrow?  Is the nock swag angle wrong to do this?  I wish I had some to play with, but as I do not I thought I would ask.

Thanks,

Todd

I don't think that will work.

Thanks Night Wing.  I am not sure it would work either.  I was just wondering if someone else had tried to do this before.

The nock angle is 11 degrees (standard nock), and your broadhead will need a 5 degree angle (standard) to mount properly.

Won't work. The nock taper is all wrong for the broad head.

Nope, two very different tapers.  I've found the best solution is to use a glue in/glue on adapter for glue on broadheads.  It weights about the same as a screw in adapter and is much stronger in my opinion.
