I've been working the last couple days on getting some arrows tuned to my bow. Got a gift certificate so I'm wanting to get some arrows. I'm just wanting to double check what I have kind of figured out and maybe get some suggestions to try.
My bow is a Kanati 42# @ 28". I pull 28". I have 3 different shafts I've been working on the last couple days and this is kind of what I've come up with as of tonight:
1916 Aluminum
- 30"
- 175 gr point
- total weight ~475 gr
- ~11.3 gpp
(I can also shoot this shaft tolerably well with a 200 or 250 gr points)
Easton Epic ST 600
- 30.75"
- 200 gr point
- total weight ~396.8 gr
- ~9.44 gpp
Beman ICS Bowhunter 500
- 31"
- 250 gr point
- total weight ~476.3 gr
- ~11.34 gpp
I've thought about also getting a GT Trad 15/35 and trying it out. I would greatly appreciate any critiques or suggestions any of you might have. I know this question gets asked a lot and I also appreciate your guys' patience.

I like the looks of your 1916 choice myself. Now with this being said it is not a perfect science on spine and arrow choice. I love to shoot wood and half the fun is finding the right set-up. Each of my bows like a little different arrow. My lost creek longbows can shoot three different spine groups very well ,then my morrison likes only one group and it is 2016. Try some test kits from three rivers.

that setup sounds about right to me. The 15-35 GT is about 600 spine . You should be able to tune them to your bow also.

Pat - I shoot two bows in that weight range and a .500 spine shaft will work very well. Depending on the length of the arrow, the bow, and the task I can tune in a range from 175-250 grains up front.
