Title: Pick Your Spot.
Post by: Brianlocal3 on April 14, 2012, 07:00:00 PM
Pick a spot, pick a spot, pick a spot.  LOL
Who else here when watching a hunting video, or driving around town, or playing fetch with the dog "picks a spot" on alot of things.  I was watching Letting Loose the DVD today while playing with the kids, ( it was raining all day) and I caught myself on every animal picking that little tuft of hair, or the light that was hitting the perfect spot, or that slight discoloration behing the shoulder. Also Ill pick a spot on my dog sometimes when we are all outside.

I have also noticed that if there is some writing or a picture or something sometimes I practice burning a hole in the smallest spot I can find on an object.

Just wondering how many others out there are as ate up as I am.  Have fun ya'll and God bless.

Yep! Live on a small ranch, I get to pick a spot a lot on different critters.

I do this constantly. Glad to see I'm not crazy, or if I am, to have some company!

Out here I keep looking at the hills and mountains for elk and deer.  Never realized it until my son said he did that too.  I guess it is a natural result of our instincts.  I see cottontails and focus on the eye.  There was one in my yard last weekend in my roses and I kept picking spots between stalks for a clean shot

Pleasant sort of misery!!!

I wish I could.  After 25 years of trade archery I can't say I've ever been able to do that.

I'm constantly "picking spots" on animals, leaves, things in the neighborhood as I'm walking my dogs, etc.  I guess it's just a part of hunting.     :)

We can't help it,it's in our blood. As hunters we can't even go to a zoo and not think..........well.
Is it wrong to take a laser pointer to the zoo to work with my kids on kill shots?

There's nothing to feel strange about, sounds like you have good focus. I need practice with mine. Seems to vanish in a heartbeat.
