I met another archery nut who likes to tinker with old arrows and make his own equipment. He makes some really nice bone heads. I have one mounted on a bamboo arrow and am going to mount one on one of my cedars. Anyone have any experience with bone heads and how they held up. They look pretty solid and are definatelly sharp enough to hunt with.
I'm going to try to shoot a Turkey with the bamboo arrow, it is horn nocked and shoots really well out of my osage self bow. :dunno:

Always thought these would be perfect turkey bh's. Sharp but not scary sharp. They're light also. Should help slow the arrow down upon contact. Might even need some added weight behind the head? Never killed a turkey yet with one as my turkey spot dried up years ago. Lower right is a sewing needle.
