well i was up visiting my grandma and she started to talk of this bow that belonged to my grandpa. he passed about 5 years ago so i had no clue about this. she proceeded to tell me to go back and get it and get some use out of it. so i go back to her room, where ive never seen before, and find this hanging above the fireplace...
(http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/aa402/123bowhunter123/82878795.jpg) (http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/aa402/123bowhunter123/703042de.jpg) (http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/aa402/123bowhunter123/b5d0f025.jpg) (http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/aa402/123bowhunter123/04def2f9.jpg)
then i was able to find this old quiver and arrows and all that was inside of it...
(http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/aa402/123bowhunter123/90383048.jpg) (http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/aa402/123bowhunter123/977f5999.jpg) (http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/aa402/123bowhunter123/c52d46f5.jpg) then i compared one of my current arrows to one of his. i guess he had a much shorter draw than me.
i want to get this bow shooting again soon so i can try to kill a deer with it this fall in memory of him. i just need a string and make up some arrows. i just thought id share my finds with you guys as im pretty excited! sorry for the bad pics they were taken with my cell. if anyone has any info on this bow please share

I don't have any info on the bow, but I know you are a dang lucky man.
What I wouldn't give to find something like that in my family. Congrats and I hope you treasure it always.

Steven, Congratulations on a great heirloom. Enjoy shooting her, and I hope you fill a tag with her.

A 68" Ben Pearson Palomino recurve in almost pristine condition is a great, great find. Congrats. :)
As for a bowstring, I would go with a 64" length B-50 or B-55 dacron string.

I have that bow's twin in 54# it shoots great and has made me a long recurve fan so much so I've bought 4 other long recurves since that one, enjoy it and don't be surprised when people stop you to eyeball it great find.

Hey Steven--
Congrats on a nice find. If you will tell me the exact length you need, I will be happy to build you an endless loop string out of B-50 material. (No charge of course) I hope you get lots of enjoyment from that bow and also that you have good luck with it during deer season.
