I was working on the west side of Michigan yesterday, and I scheduled a little time to visit with Fred and Teresa. I like to do this once in awhile (not enough though) and there are 2 consistent things that happen....1) I spend a couple of hours in Freds office in a comfortable rocking chair. I just shut up and absorb information for the most part. The thing about Fred though, he genuinely wants to hear your opinions. "What do you think about this arrow straightener? I use it like this...what do you do?".
2)Teresa will feed us something awesome. Yesterday it was an incredible thick, cheesy venison soup. Awesome. Which isn't to say Teresa just cooks. She is flying around that house and workshop like something I have never seen. I get tired just watching her. She is an amazing and kind person.
So anyway...yesterday had an added highlight. She had these 2 patterns, new, not in production yet. She has some names in mind, but I don't think they are etched in stone. Fred and I messed with them in different shaded areas of the yard, these pictures don't do them justice. I am kicking myself for not bringing along my camera. They are both great patterns, I'm looking forward to them coming out this fall!

That's the problem with Teresa's wool. Just when I think I have absolutely everything I need from her she comes out with something like this.
I love them both, no matter what name they end up with!! Might have to expand my wardrobe yet again....
-
Great, just what I need 2 more colors that look perfect. I'll have to get a bigger size so I can wear 2 at the same time!
-
I sure like that first pattern. It should be called "arboreal fadeout".
-
I got the new zippered jacket from Teresa at
Denton hill. Well made, cant wait to use it
this season.
-
I like that first one too.
I would call it "Sun Dapples".
(SD Gray, Green, Brown)
I really like a shadow plaid like that, though I do enjoy being a Buffalo Gal here and there.

Venison soup? Why did you leave?
-
Do they have one called "Eclipse" yet?
-
They are both nice patterns. I like the fade pattern of the first. Looks like it would blend in nice in an open ash stand. And the colors on the second pattern are great.
-
I like them both, is it the good heavy stuff?

Yep, nice and thick. I THINK it is considered 22 oz wool, but I am not positive.
-
Those are sharp
-
Yep, I'm hoping Teresa brings those new patterns to Alabama for the Pre-Spring Arrow Fling in February. I have no doubt that she'll sell out!!!

I have been using 'Evening Stand Brown" but I really like the new "Cedar Swamp" plaid in a zip jacket its a great color for my terrain here in Northern Michigan!
-
Good lookin' stuff.
-
I like that second pattern.
Roger, do the Asbells sell this stuff out of there home, too? I'm only about 10-15 minutes from them...
-
Awesome pattern, would love to have a set of bibs made in that or even a poncho wrap.
-
Hey guys....Teresa corrected me, it's 28 oz wool, not 22.
-
All the better! I want one in that first pattern!

Just for the heck of it, here it is in black & white....
-
Gotta love the wool. That first one is awesome, but both will work for sure.
The b+w picture helps, thanks.
-
When will she have it or does she now?
-
I need more money.....
-
Great stuff. I like that pattern, enough so that I made a cloak out of something similar last year!

The Asbells are very safe from my abilities!

Hmmm... tempting... I just have so much wool clothing at this point in my life... but I love it and I want MORE!!!... hey, they say life expectancy is going up, so all I have to do is live to be about 175 years old to wear it out... or maybe I'll have grandchildren that grow to my proportions/size (but I don't know if that would be a good thing for them or not, LOL!)
I'm willing to take the chance... and heck, it's nice enough to wear all the time anyway.
-
Roger,
Any idea if/when these new paterns are/will be available? I sent Teresa an email but never didn't get a response and wondered if you knew. Would love to get first pattern in zip jacket. Thanks!

X2. I love the cedar swamp and this 2nd one.
28 oz., thats a beefy wool that I surely need.

Looks like I will be adding to the collection :goldtooth:
-
I don't own one yet, but I'll take one in the first picture for late season.
Just let us know when it's in production.
-
Awesome patterns , it will be that first one for me. Thanks for sharing Don
-
I wish I could be more specific, but honestly all I know is that the new patterns will be here REAL soon. I'm not misleading you on purpose, I really don't know. I would say within 2 weeks.
-
Thanks Roger...looking forward to it!

I like this one!

I really like the first pattern. Will it be available in varying hues, such as a green pattern and a brown pattern?
