Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone here has the Fedora 560 hunter take down. Both limbs are identical at the mounting part, an i asked myself which one is the top and bottom limb. Does the bottom limb have the markings with poundage and all?? The unmarked limb is also shorter than the marked one. (I already emailed Fedora, but need a quick answer...)
Cheers,
a. :dunno:

The shorter limb has to be the bottom.

Thank you, that was quick. isn't the marking usually on the bottom limb??

Not sure there is a standard for where info is marked.
When you string the bow measure the distance from string to fade out or someplace that can be measured on the opposite limb.
The top limb should bend slightly more than the bottom.

My Fedora one piece...Mike's custom strings are a shorter than the normal AMO standards. Just like Groves bows...the string is shorter. I would say the shorter limb would be the lower limb but a quick phone call to Jason or Mike will solve your problem.

When assembled which way has the writing correct versus upside down?

You made me get out of my chair. :p
My 560 has the writing on the bottom limb. Both sets of limbs are identical in length (4 limbs)

Tree Rat has it.

Hi,
thanks for the input. Mike just emailed me that the bottom limb is always marked/signed by him. I did rely to him that the UNmarked limb is the shorter one. It still confuses me, particularly since there seems to be no positive tiller with the longer, marked limb down....
Will post the result of this riddle.

Hi all,
Mike did not get back to me about why one limb is shorter. Instead he wanted to sell em a new bow. He's a business man, I guess. Tree Rat: if your bow's limbs are equal in length, that makes me a little suspicious. Thanks for the input guys. The bow shoots nice, BTW.
Cheers,
A.
