Title: Good times with my son and our longbows!
Post by: briarsdad on September 16, 2012, 01:22:00 PM: I have worked alot of weekends the last couple months and had not been to any bow shoots with my son Briar this year. We had done some shooting at home like always but not one single 3D shoot, that was until last weekend. I was so happy to spend time walking the course with Briar, he and I have been shooting 3D since he was around 4 or 5 and he is now 7 so he is pretty much a pro by now. :biglaugh: We had a blast and as it turns out we are both pretty good with our longbows too! He won 2nd place in his class and I won first in mine. He is shooting a St Joe River longbow that Santa brought him last Christmas and I was shooting my BW PLX. Here is a pic of a proud dad and a happy kid after we won our awards!

I wish my sons had taken up Traditional Bowhunting but the Compound was the newest and greatest when they were young. I envy you for being able to share these memories with your son. Good Job!
