Post by: non-typical on September 17, 2012, 08:56:00 PM
Extra heavy weed-wacker line, 2 drilled holes, 5 minute JB Weld.
Has commercial possibilities.....well maybe..  :)

I thought they needed to lay flat to work.

so the warmed up liquid from the pad drips on to the hot plate and vaporizes.

I've hung them vertically from the back of my pack and they worked just fine.  I like this idea though.

The pad gets hot but does not produce a liquid, just vapor. I wear mine in its' holster while still hunting. It is more or less in a verticle position and works great.

To get the full effect, and use the whole pad, I thought they should lay flat. That's what my instructions say.

You know, one more hole in the bottom and a line to the other loop and you now have one that will lie flat!  I hang mine off a belt loop with the strap that's on their cover.  It's not totally horizontal but it's not vertical either.  Works vertical or horizontal in my experience.
