I am so ready its crazy.  I am in Hancock county deer numbers seem about the same.  Have not had any blue tongue issues here.

I hunt in Greene county and the deer seem to be about the same. Saw nine tonight when I went scouting. I'm getting very antsy!

This cool weather the last few days gets you in the mood.  We are hanging a few more stands on Sunday.  Seeing some EHD in places but it doesn't seem to be as bad as in 07'and 08'.

I am so ready I cant stand it! My corn was picked a couple days ago and I have been seeing quite a few deer. No blue tongue that I know of. I have a pond and a large creek on my farm and have not found any floaters so I think we are OK. Good luck to my fellow Hoosiers! Come on October 1st!!!!

Uh huh!  Setting some blinds and stands tomorrow in Parke.  Hoping the EHD hasn't hurt us too bad.  Youth season next weekend will see me, my son and my daughter hopefully getting something in the freezer.  Good luck.

Ready here in Crawford Co. However, I will miss the first week due to an antelope mule deer hunt in Wyoming.
