Title: Results using 100 grain broadheads ???
Post by: skychief on September 21, 2012, 10:55:00 PM
How have 100 grain broadheads performed for you in the field?

No heavy inserts included, just a 100 grain broadhead, please.

Thanks for your experiences, Skychief.

I have killed a number of deer with an 85gr Wasp SST Hammer and also have had good results with the Muzzy 3 blade 100gr head. For my traditional bows it takes a heavier head to spine the arrow for good flight. The weight of the head isn't very important in relation to killing ablilty if the arrow flight is good.

With my light poundage bows, I use a Muzzy 3 blade 75 grain broadhead. The broadhead is only 1" wide so it's like shooting a field point with blades.

Put any broadhead through the lungs on a broadside shot and you'll always have a "dressing job to do".    :D
