I'm happy to announce that I am going to be offering a new service. I will now be offering nock and point taper and a 9.5" back taper on douglas fir shafts. If you make your own arrows, but want the best in tapering, I will do the tapering of just the shafts for you. I have invested in a custom-built (really cool!) tapering machine. It will put a precise nock and point taper on douglas fir shafts and other types of wood. It also does a beautiful job of putting a 9.5" back taper down to 5/16" at the nock end. So for those of you who love douglas fir, like I do, but have found the "pencil sharpener" style taper tools just don't work on them this is an option I am happy to offer. I am having to update my website to include this. So, it will be a few days before it is on there.
Stay tuned for more new additions to what Wilderness Custom Arrows will be offering soon!

I have gotten 3 doz. of these shafts from David and they are top notch. They are the best shafts ive found in the 20 yrs or so ive been into stick bows.

Thanks Paul Jr. That is quite the compliment. I know the Surewood guys and myself try to live up to that kind of quality each and every day.
