Title: Shelf and Plate Material for Silvertip
Post by: Adam S. Daugherty on September 28, 2012, 03:43:00 PM
You all got any pictures of what you are using on shelves and plates of your silvertip recurves.  Mine starting to show a little wear after switching to a skinny string and adjusting nocking point a little.  Getting proper arrow flight, but actually I  just think the original glue and shelf material may be showing some age.

So what you all using as durable replacement material.

Thanks in advance.

Commercial velcro works great and is quiet unless you use arrow dynamics shafts. My preference is a calf hair rest and a piece of soft deer leather for the strike plate.
