Almost forgot how peaceful it is to set in a stand.Ended up haveing 2 smaller bucks come behind me not giving me a shot. This is looking down the hill towards the crop fields.

Taking a week off for the rut myself. I didn't hunt last year because of a pinched nerve in my neck that made my right arm go numb. Looking forward to it!

Solitude and the Outdoors!!!

Agree as stated.
Though my job these days keeps me away more than I want, I will always cherish my time of autumn. There is something about this time of year that beckons me to the wood, and holds my thought even while a far. Maybe it heralds my youth as a more simple time past, or surfaces my ancient genetic code paying tribute to my ancestral hunting brethren. Whatever it is, it will always draw me back to the sights, sounds, smells and solace.
