I'm shooting a Samick sage 50@28 and I draw 28.5. If shooting 340 spine aluminum arrows how much weight would I need up front? I have 100 grain inserts.

I don't know for sure but I shoot .400 spine with 250 total up front from a 56 lb Black Widow Recurve and a 59 lb 21 Century longbow. My arrows are cut 29.5 I draw 28.5.
Others will wade in I'm sure but I would guess you would at least have to have 300 total and use full length shafts. Most folks shooting that weight and draw are going to use .500 or .400 deflection shafts. Also let us know what length your shafts are cut.

I would recommand you shoot a .400spine. I shoot a 50lb recurve with 29.5" arrow with 300gr on the front end. Excellent flight.
I tried some 340's at the same arrow length, and I had around 475gr on the front, and I still could not get the bareshaft to fly right.

Seems to me, based on my experience, that the 340's are going to be too stiff and to get the to shoot well you will need 300+. I know guys that are shooting 500's out of the same poundage.
