I'm sure Chuck will get on here shortly with some better pics but I just picked up #2 and #3 from him this morning(one for me,one for my son)
Both bows are 47lbs@28"& 68"length. Brown glass back and belly cocobolo riser and amberboo cores. Very classy looking bows! I'll try to get some more pics up shortly.
-
(http://i49.tinypic.com/148zyvt.jpg) These bows are twins.

Those are sweet !
-
They look good.......
-
Very nice!
-
You did good there!! Looks nice
-
Nice!
-
Looks great, soo many builders doing this now since the HH bows are popular. Smart business move. I hope to try them all someday. Really sharp bow!
-
Very nice Rick! Congrats! I have been chatting with Chuck several times about these and yours are the first pictures I have seen. I know Thom Jorgensen has one on the way as well. I am secretly hoping Chuck misses the weight on Thom's by about +15 pounds!!! (Chuck will get that joke)
I will be getting one from Chuck soon. Just have too many already in the works right now to commit to another. Sweet looking bow!
-
This bow is a shooter for sure and everything I could ask for in a Hill Style. Smooth, quiet and dead in the hand, not to mention it has a very classic look.
-
Rick would you happen to have a picture of the limb tips?
Thanks much!
-
Steve I saw Thom's bow while I was visiting with Chuck and picking my bows up, it's gonna be a looker for sure! We're headed to Hog Heaven in May and Two Tracks will be well represented. Might have to borrow Chuck's banner and hang it from the porch down there!
-
Really nice!!
-
Those are sweet!
Any tip pics?
-
Bud B you simply can't do all those bows justice. :wavey:
-
Ain't me Dave. But I hope to be able to shoot it a time or two. :)
-
Those are stunning bows! I really like your choice of wood!

Real nice looking bows.............
-
I want one! Geez those are nice looking.
-

Sorry pic is blurry but you get the idea. There is a wedge of red glass in the tips.
-
Beautiful bows!
-
Bernie we left the riser wood choice up to Chuck but he knows we're big fans of Cocobolo.
-
Very pretty bows, love the classic wood combo!
-
Well, I don't know that my pics are any better than Ricks but here they are. full length braced will have to wait till the battery takes a charge.
I will be posting the bow and all the specs to my website soon. Here is a quick run down for you all.
The Bow is my "Echo" model. Slight string Follow, about 1/2".
The riser is 14" and the grip can be wedged, rounded over, dished or slight locator.
Tips will be standard with wedge and no overlays on the bow at all.
Width at F/O is 1.125" and the tips are sub-1/2"
A more detailed debut will follow in a few days.
Below are the Butlers bows and he has given the specs. The coco is pretty good I think. The other bow is the shooting prototype I had at a few shows this past year for some of you to try out. Thanks for the interest and kind words.
Merry Christams.

Very nice bows you got there Rick! I guess we know what Sean is getting for Christmas! #2 and #3, that's very cool as long as we've been talking about these!
Those bows look great Chuck, I can't wait til I have one too! I was actually in Lansing this morning and wondering if I had time to drop in or not. Now I wish I would have made time for it.
Steve I'd be honored to have sister bows with you, especially if I don't have to shoot the 90#er

-
Giddyup !
Look forward to ordering one !
Nice guys !
-
Wow Chuck, you never stop amazing us. I'm looking forward to trying one of those out.
-
I like it alot!!!
-
Nice work Chuck.
Did you make any changes to the bow i shot last year? looks like skinnier maybe?...looks great.
See you at kzoo and the bunny stomp.
-
Thanks Guys,
Matt, Yes probably a tad skinnier. I took one of Ricks bows out to test shoot it the other day and just smiled when the first 3 arrows out of the bow went to my spot with nothing more than a slight twang due to a tight nock. I had 2 touching and the 3rd was about a 2215 away. all three had that price tag I was aiming at on my target scared stiff-18yds. I might have to get me one of these things.
Working on this project has re-kindled my love of a Longbow Proper
See you at the shows,
-
Stunning bows Chuck! I'm gonna have to see what I can move so I can get one of those. Are you offering them in a 2pc?
-
to be honest i have never been much of a hill bow fan
but those babies look sweet and i just may give em another whirl
-
If you like Hill style bows, how can you not like those, very nice looking bows, congrats
I'm a big fan of brown glass too- nice, nice, nice!
-
Now those Sir are some amazing bows. Beautiful wood!
-
Amazing Chuck. I will be ordering one soon.

Nice bow!

I sure like the tips, the wedge is very cool.
George
-
Thank you very much for all the nice comments guys.
Matt, Nice talking with you yeaterday-as always
Steve, Your package is inbound to your location.
And, I already have you on the radar for missing weight on Toms bow. I have re-gained my strength after re-habin' my shoulder and I have worked out with a 67# stock bow I made, but you will get dibs on anything more than that,LOL
I hope you all have a Blessed and Merry Christmas.

(Kevin and George-keep watch for the mail lady as well)

chuck

I can't wait to shoot one, I spoke with Chuck the other day and he put a lot of thought into his design. Those are just beautiful. And one thing he always says is he is a Custom bowyer, so he will do what you ask regarding grips and all, not just "kind of attempt" it.
-
Very nice Rick. A Christmas gift for the son?
-
Kinda sorta Izzy. He knew it was coming.
We shot a prototype at Compton in June then at the MLA shoot in August he had #1 ready. We shot that and said; "Hey, we need a couple of these!"
-
Chuck is definitely a great guy and he is definitely a custom bowyer. I can't wait to shoot one of these. It is almost unbearable to keep reading this post and looking at those beautiful bows of Ricks. :banghead:
I would like to wish Chuck and his family a Merry Christmas and to of my fellow Tradganger's as well!
:archer2:
-
Chuck cm can you post a pic of it braced? Would love to see the whole bow. Thanks.
-
Real quick, Company just pulled in so I will have to run. I will be back later. I struggle with full length Pictures.
thanks again everybody.

-
Awh man. I wish I didn't ask!!! Torturous. That is absolutely gorgeous Chuck. Someday I hope to be able get one of those. Hill style has been eating at me for a long time now and that's the first one that has jumped out at me. Fantastic job my friend!
-
Wow those are really nice looking bows.<><
-
I think that string braced the bow at 6 1/4"
I had to rob it off another bow for the pictures.
Thanks Rob, Matt, Frank.
Hey Frank, I didn't forget you and the action wood. I just didn't have as much as I thought so I am waiting to work some more up for you. When I get a little handfull I will send it over.
Merry Christmas,
CTT

Most of you guys know me, and Chuck knows me well. First thing I had to do was make my own string for it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the strings he uses, I'm just a bit OCD and I like my strings in the Michigan Longbow Assoication colors. 6 red plus 1 black, second bundle 6 yellow and 1 black. All D97:

As long as I got this far tonight, here is a close up of the top tip:
Here is a closer look at my coco riser... Looks a bunch like the Butler boys braced at 6.0" :
Last one for tonight, drawn profile (remember I cant my bow a bit)
Center serving, nock points, and silencers will have to wait until tomorrow. We'll have to get a look at the veneer on the back of this bow some other day :archer:
Thom
-
That's a beautiful bow! I can't wait to post pics of #5.
-
A beauty Thom, I'm liking that red glass!
-
Alright, I took a lunch break and got the serving and nock points done. You can now see why I'm having such reservations about wrapping leather over this handle!
I also installed a pair of Two Tracks felted wool silencers, I got enough for all my bows while I was there yesterday
And here is a teaser pic of the back, I can't wait until the sun comes out and I can get a good picture of dangerous side of this bow!!!
Making a good day out of a bad day!
Thom
-
That Elm is perfect Thom. Can't wait to see it. Maybe you can find some clear leather for the grip. :saywhat: I can see why a guy would'nt want to cover that wild grain there. Very nice. rat'
-
thom
im really diggin the red glass
it would look cool with a red suede leather handle also
-
Where are those pics of #5 Todd?????????????
-
OK ..... OK .....
This bow shoots so good I don't want to put it down! This is by far the best shooting bow I have shot to date and I am not shooting too bad with it either! Here is a pic for you guys of #5 of the ECHO series from Two Tracks. Chuck you really out done yourself on this one. :notworthy:
I will try to take more pictures tomorrow. This really is a bow everyone should try.
-
beautiful bows
-
Chuck,
If you read this, I held and shot Todd's bow today.
Magnificent; and you should see how well he shoots it. That phenolic looks like a fine grained wood. Almost aged osage-like.
Very nice.
I hope Todd does get more pics up.
-
I just got through shooting with Todd. I shot his bow I know I looked funny never shot lefty before. The bow shot smooth and is quick.LCH
-
Thanks Bud and LCH. And the rest as well.
Here are a few shots of Todds bow.
