hello for a french guy looking for a bow and going to stay some time in Washington do you know a traditional bowyer around this area ?
:notworthy:

Where in Washington and how far are you willing to drive? There are lots of bowyers in Washington, Oregon and Idaho, not to mention you would be remiss not to make a trip to Raptor Archery down in Hood River Oregon.
-
unfortunatly it's not for me ... distance should not be a a big issue i guess ? any information are welcome thanks to you

Here's a thread that might help:

Will you be visiting the state of Washington or Washington D.C.?
-
Sorry / my friend will visit WDC
tthanks for all the answers !

If your friend is visiting Washington DC then that changes things tremendously. DC is on the east coast and Washington state is on the west, about 3000 miles apart. Not that that should prevent him from doing a road trip!

Ths closest Bowyer I know that is close to Washington DC, Is Kimsha Archery in Charlotte Hall,MD. It is owned and run by Tom Parsons. I know Tom personaly and he is a great guy to deal with, plus the fact he makes some very fine bows.
I hope this helps.

2nd on Tom Parsons.....and last I talked to Greg Spickler he was thinking about getting back into making a few longbows since he cannot forge knives any longer due to back injury....but if he does that would be two. Kim-Sha (Tom Parsons) and Noble Longbow (Greg Spickler).
All the rest that I know are in Pennsylvania.....
Does the guy from Delaware still make bows that used to be at all of the Trad Bowhunters of Md shoots....cant remember name off top of head but was test driver for Ford...shot bare fingers...man what was his name?
Best bet is TP as Tony mentioned....unless Tony wants to sell one of his beauties. :)

LOL Brock, not a chance of me selling one of my Beauties(LOL).

There are a lot of good bowyers in Oregon. Me and a few others here in California. Also can look at the bowyer sponsors list here on Tradgang.
