I have tried to stalk in socks and had all kinds of sharp objects stick in my feet and limped back to camp and the rest of the hunt.
Because I use full length orthotics light wieght shoes with soft soles do not work eighter.
So are safari sneekers as good as they claim, reduces noise by 80%?
Also do they slip & slide when on a hill side or incline?
Would like feed back before shelling out the money on a pair which locally are $30.00 or more.

Hey Ray, don't know anything about the safaris but look into either a pair of Vibram five fingers, or New Balance minimus MT10's, Vivobarefoot's shoe line, or even better the new Mini-mil tac boots by Belleville/Tactical Research.

80% reduction I would not agree with. They are much better than bare boot soles of course.
Very slick on leaf or grass covered hillsides. It can be done if you make an extra effort to dig the side, heel, or toe of the sole into the ground.
I mainly use them while sitting in a ground seat. Definitely helps when shuffling feet to prepare for a shot.

For on the flat, Day One makes an interesting set of Baer's feet. Nice and quiet. They probably wouldn't stay put well on severe hills and such. These go over your boots and really work well.
