I am getting numbness on the end of my ring finger. I shoot with a deep hook. Have been using a dura glove and also have a black widow tab. What glove offers the most finger protection? thanks.
-
All of the American Leathers gloves offer loads of protection. Superb fit, quality, and service as well.
-
Black widow pdq super glove. My hands make my money and this glove keeps them comfortable.
-
I shoot American Leathers too.
-
American leathers or Bateman condovan ones are very protective.
-
I use a Barta Glove from Three Rivers, great gloves.
-
How big are your hands and or fingers ??
I have a glove or two that I'm not using..
-
I usually wear a medium or large depending on the glove.
-
X2 American leathers
-
I have a Bateman and a HH with the inserts, they're both large.. I'd be glad to send 'em along if you pm me a mailing address..
-
I like my Bearpaw Speed Glove.

I have shot the American Leathers for a few years. Very comfortable but the back of the glove is too short. Comes loose while shooting until I added a snap. Recently got a glove from Byron Ferguson. Cheap and a very good glove with great finger protection.

I use the Alaska Bowhunting Supply Super Glove, never had a problem with sore fingers since I've been using it.
-
After all these suggestions, buy a BW Stick Tite glove.
They have a super thick leather construction, hold tight to the fingers and will allow for a super deep hook. I will not buy another and I have had most of the above.

I'm suffering from the same problem. The end of my ring finger is so tender I need to lay off shooting awhile but I really don't want to.

Probably a Howard Hill Deluxe, They take some getting used to but once broken in they are a good glove if you don't want to feel the string.

I REALLY like my American Leathers gloves. I lost one once ( my Buddy's dog ran off with it) never to be seen again! I have a extra one now just incase, other than that I think they would last forever! Great people todeal with also.
-
American leathers for me also. Been shooting mine for about 4 years now. Great protection and very durable.

I have an American Leathers glove and it give more protection than any of my others, to much for my taste but I'm only shooting 50#. It's a very well made glove.
I'd consider other causes than too thin a glove though. Sometimes a high draw arm elbow can put a little extra strain on the ring finger. You might also drop the deep hook on that finger, keeping it on the middle and pointer. Depends a lot on the length of your fingers but for me with 64" bows there is now way I can keep a deep hook on all three fingers without being up to the second joint on my middle finger...and that's the one that does the most work for me (I shoot split finger). My ring finger is on the string but more for position than anything else, it doesn't hold much weight. Good luck.
