Title: VPA 3-blade vs. VPA 2-blade vs. Woodsman Elites
Post by: toby on July 17, 2013, 02:42:00 PM
I will be hunting with a 52#@29" longbow this year for deer and elk. Will probably use 150-175 grain bh's possibly with  a 100 grain adaptor. I like the idea of the 3 blade for deer, not sure about the penetration on elk. I would appreciate your thoughts/experiences with Amy of these using a similar dw and dl bow.

I would shoot a lighter adapter and heavier broadhead.  I like the added length of the 175gr. + VPA heads, same with the woodsman.  No experience with the 2 blade vpa, but I like a little longer and leaner, the 175 2 blade I've seen were stubby.

VPA has changed the length on there 175gr. 3 blade broadheads. They have made the blades thicker, therefore making them stronger. They are not as long as they use to be because of the added thickness.
