That sure looks like that would be a lot of fun and good eating..
-
thanks fireboss, I was getting the feeling everyone liked the kudu pic over my frogs I know I sure did, ha ha.
but lots of fun right in your back yard, put waders on, get a judo, and stalk the edge from about 5yds out into the water and shoot towards the bank for no lost arrows,, tasted good too!

Fine critters fellas. Love me some goat Ryan. Thats a true Puerto Rican favorite, "Cabrito". Wish we could poke some in these parts. I start 3 weeks vacation tomorrow and hope to get some bull frogs with my little guy Nate.
-
Thanks Izzy,
Yeah, it's good eating, plus a blast to hunt with a stickbow! Best of luck with the bull frogs!
Aloha!
Ryan

Just a few from Trad Gang South (Tommy, Kirk, and me) have taken (50 or so nice ones).

Mmm, those frogs look good!
-
I had to look up the word 'doldrums' to see what it meant.
-
No pictures but I'm having a banner year (for me) on groundhogs this year. I just shot my 15th one. A typical season nets 9 or so, last year only 5.
My new Abbott longbow and I have bonded well this summer. :)
-
Beautiful Kudu! I've taken two, now its time to take one with a longbow!!
Sorry for the double post  !!
-
good stuff, fellers - this post will be a dipping well for Member of the Week banners and we'll need separate topic post write-ups here at powwow so we can add them to the 2013 highlights forum!
If at all possible, please git yerself in the pic with yer critter - bow and arrow added is the icing on the cake - the bigger the pic the better, too!
-
I got these two last week at my lease in South TX!

Bisch,
How much blood has soaked into that tree :biglaugh: and I bet it gets a lot of licking from passing critters, be neat to set up a game camera and see what happens when your not around.

Bear Quest 7, with Yellow Dog. That Mike is one great guy, but he has been causing me some sleepless nights with all the bows he has on the classifieds right now, lol. Lots of good looking critters showing up on this thread already. Those frogs look pretty tasty. I have not had any in about 35 years or so.

I don't know about RER because I have never shot one.......but that shot placement rules for sure!
Congrats,
Bisch
-
Nice shooting on that squirrel. A little less than 2 weeks before ours opens.
-
I am killing my Shotblocker target until September 8th
-
I`m in the same boat as recurve maine....I have been killing my target.
Practice sessions are now usually the "one cold shot" variety, where I grab the bow and replicate a SINGLE shot as if I am hunting. No warm up...just ONE shot.
Unload groceries...take a shot...shut off the mower, take a shot...wake up in the morning, take a shot...eat a grilled cheese, take a shot.
Great pics everyone!
:campfire:
-
That's just what I am doing, one shot here and there, except today me and my 8 and 15 year old daughters decided to grab their recurves and we did it up, nice quality time probably 60-75 shots today and the groups were nice ... In Maine we have "expanded archery" season where you can purchase extra doe tags for $12.00 or Bucks for $32.00 depending on where you hunt /live. September 8th can't come soon enough!!!
-
Ermont,
nice goat, and MAN that curry looks tasty.
Recipe sharing is a good thing (just saying)
