My new Schafer came in the mail today. It is 51# @ 27" 60" amo and is fast flight. I ordered the walnut riser and limbtips, checkered grip, quiver inserts and now for the best part..........camo limbs. The camo material that Dave used came from an old pair of hunting pants that I had. They are old school "dove suit" pattern and turned out sweet. Not only did Dave back the back side of the limbs camo but had enough material to back the belly side also....awesome and just in time for my Upper Peninsula bear hunt. If some one on here can help with pics, give me an email address and I will send you some to post, thanks.

One of these days I will have me some of those camo limbs. Lookin good!

The problem is that they don't make the original material anymore. You have to come up with some that meets Dave's specs so he can use them. Certainly not impossible and makes your bow 100% custom.

Thanks for posting the pics Big Sexy!

Ready for the bear hunt. Been shooting it since I got it. I must say that I have owned many many different bows over the years but this Schafer has got to be my favorite bow yet. It shoots so nice and just seems to fit. It needs some field MOJO but i'm sure that will come......this one is a keeper.

Beautiful bow, I have one a couple years older but basically the same bow. Yer gonna love it. It quickly became my favorite. Good luck on yer Michigan bear hunt. What unit are you hunting?

Very beautiful...

A hard woking hunting bow. I always liked this camo-pattern and especially on a cool Tip like this. Reminds me of F. Bear and WWII Marines in the Pacific theater. I like pics of Schaf using camo limbs. Good stuff Man!

I have another Silvertip in the works as we speak. I had asked Dave to replicate the grip on one of my older Silvertips and they called last week to have me ship the old bow. This will be my late season/old age bow, 50#-51# @28. I draw a bit over 29 so I get plenty of performance out of the bow. I can't wait.

Wow, Built a skinny string (8 strands of bcy Dyna flight 10) with padded to 20 strand loops and double served. Great result. Had to have added a couple of feet per second and really quieted the bow down. Gonna build 3 or 4 more. Agross 1, my bear hunt is in the Carney BMU. 22 DAYS TO GO!!!!
