Title: 150gr broad head question
Post by: southernwoody on August 10, 2013, 10:22:00 PM
What's a good 2 blade with bleeder blades in 150gr. I'm a military man so I'm on a budget. Looking for reasonable price but tough enough to kill hogs and deer over and over again. I've never shot a four blade like this how does it compare to a traditional two blade? Thanks for the help fellas. Seasons almost here!!!!

I'm liking the Magnus Buzzcuts, they can be found for about 30 bucks for 3 and if you mess them up, they have a lifetime guarantee and you can send the bent up or broke one in and they will replace it. The replacement blades are very inexpensive and they sharpen up pretty easy. I don't send them back myself unless the ferrule is bent up or broke or  something. I just keep some replacement blades on hand. Haven't shot anything with a two blade so can't give you a comparison, but basically it should just be a little more open hole and more blood. Thank You for your Service too! I've been there and done that too and wish I could do some more!

In that weight, a Magnus Stinger all day every day. Pick the standard or buzzcut....doesn't matter.

I sent in 9 heads that I had accumulated from years of use. Some were only slightly bent, others were mangled from prying out of trees or from rocks on a pass through or miss. No questions asked, and I recieved 9 brand new heads in replacement, and it cost me less than $4 to ship. The smaller bleeder on the Magnus stingers opens the hole up just enough for a clean pass of the shaft, and because of this, may actually increase penetration. Great service, made in the USA, great blood trails with quick clean kills, and an unconditional lifetime guarantee.  And they fly great and spin true.  Pretty hard to beat! Thanks for your service!

Great recommendation. Stingers are great too but cost 50% more

Ever think of using 160 gr 3 blade Snuffers? Very tough and open up very large holes.

Steel Force Hellfire 4 blade broadhead. They are extremely sharp right out of the box, truly tough, inexpensive compared to most broadheads, accurate and they leave a devastating blood trail.
