trying to make some new arrows. i tried what i'm sure is 2018 and that fits. bought some 2018 shafts. guess what? they don't fit. i have some 2020 and they definately don't fit.
what size for black 300 axis please?
-
okay, so i measured the ID of the "think they are 2018's" and the 2018's. the ones that fit have a bigger id of course. these must infact be 2016's.
off to buy some 2016's i guess

I tried both mate but the 2018 fit snugger there was a bit of wiggle with the 2016.
-
2016 works for me. If they are a bit loose just us JB Weld. It is thick enough to take care of the problem.
-
i'll have to get 2016. 2018 will not go on.
-
Ok I had to chamfer the ends to get mine on, did you find any 2016s? If not i can send you some.

wayoutwest- still looking for 2016's. the footing length will be about 170mm. so sections under that length won't be of use to me. let me know what you've got and what you want for them.
cheers, clint

not sure about the 300"s but 1916's work on 500's...I think they are the same size as the 300's?

oops double post

I've got a few black game getters mate that you can have.

Hey Clint,
I sand the carbon shaft to fit the aluminum for a tight joint. Just sand the area the footing will cover and not further up the shaft.
-
Beveling and sanding the 2018s sounds preferable to me. Whenever I use a loose fitting footing I use the expanding Gorilla Glue.

way too much material to remove to try and get a 2018 to fit over the shaft. i tried sanding inside the 2018 with a special drill attachment. i don't have 2 days per footing...
then i tried drilling it out.... :banghead:
2016 is what i need
