Time for new carbon arrows, my recurve bows run 50# & a 55# draw weight, typical hunting equipment for small game & deer, love me some stump shooting also.
What do you suggest & thanks in advance.

whats your draw length

Depending on your draw length, I would suggest 3555 or 5575 Gold Tip Trad blems from Big Jim. Excellent arrows for the money. A 1 inch piece of aluminum footing on the insert end of these shafts makes them pretty much indestructible. I stump with mine all the time.

Draw length and what point weight you want to use will help a lot in determining what shaft to use. Just based off the info you have given I would go with the Arrow Dynamics traditional lights.

You could probably get by with a CE Heritage in a 250. They stiffen up quite a bit if you have to cut them and then you could play with a wide range of tip weights.

I have been shooting a magnus 2 blade @ (think'n) 125 gr, but want to try a heavier single beveled 2 blade this year, think'n in the 200+ gr wt.
Draw length is 28" on the money.
Am considering the 5575 GT blems, what kind of reputation does the GT's have for durability ??

If you use the 100 grain brass inserts with your GT's, I imagine you'll be pleased with the durability. I used to break a couple dozen arrows a year until I switched to 7590 GT's with brass inserts, In the 3 years since, the only three I've broken has been from robin-hooding a shot and one from a bear.

with your draw and weight bows I would recommend CE 250's and foot them and they will be bomb proof. You'll need about 30 1/4 length for your 28" draw. If you only shot the 50#er I would suggest CE 150's ... I have some 150's footed with 1" 2016 shaft and have been shooting them several years out of my 50# bows and have never had a failure except for breaking a few judo points... good luck to ya
