Title: Arrows 4 30pound bow

My son's girl friend wants to start shooting archery with him and I'm giving her an old Indian Warrior 30@28 I need to find arrows/shafts any suggestionson spine? I want to keep it simple 100 grn field tips.

5/16 dowels work ok just check for bad grain run out with some sorting you can find some decent ones.

I use ICS junior's for my wifes bow with 100gr tips.

I second the 5/16 dowels. I use them for my daughter she was shooting 30 and now 35. I cut the dowels in half getting two arrows per dowel for her 22.5 inch draw. Could not tell you the spine they are too short but they fly like darts.

I believe Carbon Express still makes the Predator II in .700 and .800 spine.

I like 1716s out of my 33# longbow.With 100 gr tips they fly great full length. On the lighter 30# bow, and especially if you shorten them, you might have to go to 125 or even 145 gr tips.
