how durable are these?
do the blades easily get knocked out?
-
They are very durable and no the blade does not get knocked out easily. Very effective head. Shock and cut. Doesn't run under the grass very easily.
Of course I'm prejudiced.
-
Oooooh. Are you asking about the Magnus Blunt?
I was wondering what a "SG" model was. Small Game!
Effective but the blade is good for two or three shots depending on where used. In grass or leaves/needles it would probably last indefinately. In bark or rocky soil not so durable. On the other hand, I don't notice much difference blade vs. bladeless.
2nd in from right.

I wish they made that G5 SGH in a glue on
-
I have been using the Magnus SG head for many years. It's the only small game head I use. I have shot it directly into the trunks of oak and hickory trees with no adverse effects to point or arrow shafts (hickory). They usually bounce off or barely cling by the tip of the bleeder and are easily removed.
I was beginning to panic because following Magnus selling their glue-ons to Thundervalley, I was unable to locate these heads for over a year. A month or so ago I found they were making them again and bought another dozen. Whew, what a relief.

Are you talking about these? Edit: Sorry, reading is fundamental.
