I have been using a strap on quiver but I do not like the way it throws off the balance of my bow. So I'm looking for a new quiver. I usually hunt in alot of brush so I need one I can maneuver well with. What does everyone else use?
-
I have a strap on quiver too and often think about a quiver that would be a part of my backpack that I always have on me.
So far the bow mounted quiver still beats out the others (for me anyway) even taking into consideration the change it makes on bow feel.
My biggest issue is access to the arrow and ease of putting it back if unused- a situation that happens a lot in my own hunting.
The bow mount quiver is really good in this regard.

cat quiver for me. the #3 model- can carry all the gear i need, it quiet, easy to access arrows with either hand!!!- protects both the points and the fletching.
easy to get through the bush- with nothing snagging( side quivers etc)
keeps my bow light- so i can carry it all day.
reduces the "flagging effect" as the quiver is behind your back, and low - so most of the movement is hidden by your body.
and then i use a solo stalker on the bow- for a quick arrow!- quick access and easy return- and very safe.
best sytem mfor me- i like to have a small pack, and a quiver, and keep my bows light- why not a combo!!

These days I use an Arrowmaster. I have a bolt on bow quiver, a simmons, a catquiver, and a 3D hip quiver.
-
Only back quivers for me, I hate a how perfectly good bow feels when all of my arrows are hanging on it. Besides that, where do I put field dressed squirrels and bunnies if there is no back quiver?
-
GFA quiver for me.
-
Another Cat Quiver fan here ...
-
I used a catquiver last year for the first time. I'm going to use it again. It worked very well for me.
-
I use a Thunderhorn Mini Boa mostly, but also have a Raptor side quiver. You might check out the side quivers, either GFA, Raptor or Safari Tuff.
-
I've tried them all and as much as I like the feel of a "naked" bow I always end up going back to my strap on Boa :dunno:

Home made Hill style.
-
I use the Selway slide-ons for my recurves, had a EFA and liked it but I let it go with a bow I sold. For me the balance or Weight on the bow is not an issue as I stay in very good shape. I can hunt all day or Rove with no fatigue issues holding my bow.

I love those Dave Creger ( sp ?) quivers . Had one until an Airedale pup got ahold of it.
-
I try different ones but I always seem to go back to my Safari Tuff ArrowMaster.
-
I've been using a Catquiver Mini for the last few years. Works out fine for my needs.
-
Wheelchair quiver, or a hip slung horse quiver if the chair has a very low back. Still too unsteady to go back to standing, but then hip quivers, mostly of my own devising. Need to post a pic of my new wheelchair one when it's done.
-
always used a homemade back quiver for me, somewhat like Fergusons'. i hunt alot of thick brush and creek beds, getting tired of dodging limbs/branches with the feathers so this year I'm building a new side quiver like the shrew mantis 6 arrow for big game and use back quiver for small game, birds, waterfowl, and stumps.
-
catquiver, gets things on my back and more out of the way. A bow quiver makes sense for a lot of people, thinking of picking one up.
-
Strap-on Kanati Pro bow quiver for me. I don't mind the added weight as my bow is very light to begin with.
-
I went back to my GFA. Tried an Arrowmaster for 2 yrs. and never could get used to it. Too big and noisy getting thru the thick stuff. I use a fleece fletch cover on the GFA.
-
I use the strap on Boa. It serves me well.
-
Bear 4 or 8 arrow spring arm quivers. Easy on and off, and I always take mine off on stand.
-
I use the thunder horn small fry mostly. I have a regular size boa strap on also. Great Northern is another good one although I prefer the Boa
Back quiver for rabbit and squirrel. Need lots of arrows
-
I use a GFA style quiver I made from an old Selway bow quiver for hunting and a Side Stalker I made for target and 3D shooting.
-
Sufari tough, and you won't look back !
-
Eagle Flight Archery bow quiver with totem option. I did'nt like bow quivers on my longbows but EFA is extremely light and not noticed when shooting.
-
Absorkee Quiver for me. Also the quiver caddy/kwikee combo I've used for years. No better option that I've tried yet....and I've tried most all of them. Check out the product review on Tim's Absorkee.
-
Catquiver II, I like my bow light and balanced.
-
Here's a pic of the Absorkee Quiver showing the caddy clip. Makes for easy on and off and rides well.

Mini boa
-
cat quiver here as well...
-
I've always used bow quivers, don't like the balance issue but the convenience is tough to beat. My favorite bow quiver (limb bolt style) is my Kanati Angle.
Next year I will be hunting with a Cedar Ridge Powderhorn side quiver that I picked up a few weeks ago.
-
GFA for me
-
I use a back quiver.
-
Gonna try a arrowmaster this year. I'm usually a bow quiver advocate but I got a new Big Jim Buffalo. That I have been shooting without a quiver and really like it. I have a cat quiver 6.5 that I could use too. But there are certain things I don't like about the cat. That I'm hoping the arrowmaster will solve.

I use the same, a Hill style back quiver most of the time. Late season, once I am bundled up like the Pillsbury Doughboy, I switch to a lightweight bow quiver. For my Kanati, it's and EFA 4 arrow with a totem. It is so light, the balance is hardly affected at all. On my Orion, I have a 5 arrow Selway bolt on. It is also very light weight and doesn't seem to wreck the balance of the bow.
That said, I probably use the back quiver 75 percent of the time.

modified bolt on quiver that I use as a back/side quiver

-
I use a dual arc strap on. After tuning it I think it actually improves how the bow shoots and it keeps my arrows handy. (http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee146/gdpolk/Traditional%20Projects/IMG_0266_zpsca61adee.jpg)

Getting ready to make a side stalker quiver.
for hunting deer this is type I like best
for roving and small game I like a back quiver
-
I use a limb bolt selway on my recurve and a cat quiver 3 when I carry my longbow
-
I usually use a bow mounted quiver because It feels more comfortable to me. There are certain situations I will use a detached quiver, usually a cat quiver. I'm looking at a hip quiver.

Usually a back quiver or bow quiver, but just received a email last evening from Art Vincent that my new Powderhorn side quiver will be in the mail by Saturday. Can't wIt to try it this spring on gobblers
