Title: Need an answer for Colorado mule deer question.

I'm doing an elk hunt in unit 68 Colorado with some friends this year.  Do I have any chance of drawing an archery mule deer tag or does it take a bunch of points to draw?  Thanks for any help you can give me.  Sam

Accoriding to a hunting odds web page I subscribe to you have a 70% chance of drawing an archery deer tag for unit 68 if you put in for first choice with 0 points. 100% chance if you have 1 point.

I haven't hunted mulies in a while, but the population out here isn't doing so good. As of now it's draw only. I know of a few guys last year that should have gotten their tag but ended up empty handed.

oops the deadline to apply is today..  so apply.. you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

I put in for Elk.  Got Preference points for deer and PH.  Think that makes 12 or 13 points for PH and 10 for Deer.

Your actual chances are 71.4% for that unit.  Buck only.

Draw deadline is always the first Tuesday in April for Colorado Big Game.
