Looking for some information / advice. I am thinking of dipping some Alaskan grizzly sticks and was wondering if I could use fletch lac white dipping laquar along with dipping tube using the speed gasket from three rivers. I do not want to use wraps as I would also like to crest theses arrows just think arrows have a more personal touch when dipped and crested

You can use fletch lac for carbons. The gasket will not work, fletch lac must be dripped. You should also dip it in clear first to help it adhere. The issue you will have to work out is the paint pools at the end of the shaft and leaves a bump if you just plug the hole and dip it. You need to make a taper for the paint to continue travelling. A golf tee works pretty well for this and works better if you whittle the tee to a better fit. Bohning also makes a dipping plug that is made just for it.

I crown dipped so many carbons when I had my shop opened....I strictly use Fletch Lac products for all crown dipping. The only problem I ever saw wasn't with Carbons....Super Slams...the ASAT finish on all super slams doesn't hold crown dips well. Paint will chip off.....Carbons...no problems.
